Vintage 1950s Skirt - Fantastic Native American Motif Circle Skirt with Modified Navajo Corn Gods

  • Product Description

Vintage 1950s novelty print skirt is an unusual piece, an understated piece featuring sort of a made-up mish mash of Navajo aspects, something similar to Corn Gods. This tourist skirt is unique in that it is a simple, crisp natural linen with black printing. It is a full circle skirt, and it has a sturdy metal zipper up the side. It works perfectly with a full crinoline. It is fully lined in black acetate.

The natural linen has tanned a bit, and there are some scattered, mildly yellowed spots. See photo 5. As this is a consignment item, I didn't feel comfortable soaking it for feature of lightening the printing, but I think it could be very gently hand washed. There are some little nicks and moth chews along the edge of the hem, nothing that stands out.
I find no other issues to note.
