Vintage 1940s Rodeo Suit - Women's Taupe Wool Whipcord Western Pants and Coordinating Jacket with Wrapped Leather Buttons

  • Product Description

Vintage 1940s paired western outfit is a fantastically flattering ensemble, simple with classic western details. The pieces may not be original to each other, or if they are, are from slightly different dye lots. That said, my consignor wore this as a suit so I didn't want to split it up. The croppedtailored jacket has a wide peaked lapels and leather buttons to close. There are four pockets - two flap pockets on the chest, two expandable patch pockets at the hips, all working, and all secured with leather buttons. This is made for movement, with action back shoulders vents at each side. It's lined with rust colored satin. The flattering whipcord pants have classic western pockets with buttons, and keystone belt loops. They are a very slightly rosier color of taupe, which you can see in the photos. They close on the side with a sturdy metal zipper and snaps.

These pieces are reasonably clean and ready to be worn. It's been bulk dry cleaned, and I've spot treated some scattered storage spots on both pieces. There's still some faint spots, but you really do have to look for them. The waistband of the pants have some discoloration, likely from a leather belt. There are some very tiny little moth nips near the knees, but they don't stand out. I find no other issues to note!

As noted, this set is probably? not original to each other, but it seems they have been together for some time and I hate to part them.
