An absolutely charming and crisp 1950s dress with very uniquely styled print. The palette evokes an undersea mood - browna nd teal and orange and yellow on a pale seagreen ground. The wood cut print is intentionally styled and somewhat bizarre - strange orange fish. A women in harem pants with seaweed hanging from her sleeves. Creatures I think are best described as sea monkeys. The cut is flattering, with a tuxedo pleated bodice and curving neckline. The skirt is tightly pinch pleated. The dress closes up the front with a hook at the waist and self-fabric buttons. The original self-fabric belt is present.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There is some yellowing at the interior back of the neck, and the bodice is slightly faded compared to the skirt.. When I took the photos, I had thought the waist was all hand stitched - it turned out to be a bodice length adjustment that I have taken out, but you can see some difference in color where it was. The bottom button is a replacement. I find no other issues to note!
