Vintage late 30s ensemble is springy and fine, a beautifully made suit in a pale lavender hue. These photos are slightly oversaturated - the color is ethereally pretty. Perfect through spring and summer, it is made of rayon faille. The shoulders are beautifully added. The center placket of the jacket is embellished with self-fabric soutache and flowers. The leaves are pleated, and the flowers wrapped for a fantastically deep three dimensional detail. Tiny horizontal pleats create draping at the midsection. The skirt has a flattering a-line flare with six gores. Best of all, these pieces wear perfectly together, but can double as separates. The skirt closes with side buttons, the jacket with the self-fabric buttons at the center front.

This suit is fresh clean and ready to be worn! There are two little pinhead spots on the hip of the jacket, and two tiny "dash" spots on the skirt. The only other issue is internal - a previous owner used some fabric from the inside of the button placate facing. I don't see any repaires, so perhaps they had to replace a self-fabric button? It doesn't affect the exterior or integrity any way. A stunner, in sturdy, strong condition.
