Vintage 1940s day dress is stunning with a print that is rich and bold, saturated the way that way only rayon jersey can be. This is one from my person hoard that I never actually fit, it has only been in my closet making me sad. This glorious rose print piece offers a shirtwaist bodice and a fairly sleek silhouette. The shoulders have a yoke that features the larger scale roses. The short sleeves at pleated to the cuff for a slight puff. Three pretty black and red buttons close the bodice. The skirt has a fitted shape at the top of the hips, scallops that mimic the look of a cutaway peplum. From the center, the skirt is pleated, giving it soft movement. And of course, the hem is banded with that bold, rich, border print, with roses climbing from the hem to above your knees. This classic dress closes with a side buttons placket.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There are two patches to the jersey, both in the right front scallop of the hip, that someone carefully pattern matched. I find no other issues to note, it is bright and fresh!
