Vintage 1950s dress by Eisenberg is a particularly eye catching late 50s design. An asymmetric sunburst is draped from the left waist, spearing deep into the dress from the bust to below the hips. The neckline is a close surplice style. The three quarter sleeves are brilliantly constructed, with clever gussets at the underarms for ease of movement. A self-fabric belt buttons across the back. The dress closes with a long metal zipper up the back.
Belt set at 31"
Label: Eisenberg Originals
Material: Rayon, Acetate Satin
Condition: Good minus, as is but very sturdy
This dress is clean and ready to wear. Most notably, there is a patched hole at the mid back left of the skirt, that is 1/4" by 3/8". The dress has faded with time, and it is not perfectly even, although at a level absolutely suitable for a cocktail setting. The surplice neckline was not original sewn closed, so I took out the hand stitches, only to find the color difference too stark, so I have closed it again. I find no other issues to note.
