Vintage 1940s skirt is absolutely striking, a folkwear inspired piece in the most saturated mustard yellow. Rayon crepe is boldly embellished soutache embroidery classic folkwear motifs done in white and jewel tones - emerald, amethyst, sapphire, ruby, citrine, all as lustrous as their namesakes. The skirt is pleated. The pockets and hem are boldly and heavily embellished. The piece closes with a sturdy metal zipper, and hook. There is an extra couple inches in the skirt tab, so if you desired to take this out, it is possible.

This skirt is clean and ready to wear. When I acquired it, there was dark spotting down the center. I have lightened the stain and tiny spots considerably, and it is entirely wearable. What remains is a 1/4 x 1/2" spot that looks like a pale oil spot to the right center, and a faint dot of the same below, then two even more faint spots a bit lower. the folds of the skirt and brilliant color make it so these minor flaws do not stand out.
