Vintage 1940s sweater dress is the most uniquely styled of the all the knits from this consignor. I know, I was surprised myself, but the fiber test was clear. It is a a fabulously dense black, which made it somewhat hard to photograph. The upper bodice and sleeves feature a raised, textured leaf motif. The sleeves are a half-length dolman style. The waistline is high, the leaf patterned knit meeting the wide ribs of the skirt on the rib cage. This will be perfect for pairing with a statement belt! The neckline is circled with a fluffy trim of ivory angora knit. This dress slips over the head, and has a zipper at the back of the neck.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There is some rubbing to the angora trim. I have invisibly darned two moth chews in the skirt, and pulled to snagged thread to the interior of the dress. I find no other issues to note - this wears beautifully!
