Striking 1940s Novelty Print Lace-Face Rayon Dress with Ladies in Dramatic Hats
1940s vintage dress is nothing short of fantastic! This charmer isn't perfect, but it's one of the most delightful novelty prints I've seen in some time, and in an irresistible shade of robin's egg blue. It's the second time I've had this print - but the last time I saw it was almost ten years ago! There's four distinct lady faces, each wearing a different amazing hat. Made by McKettrick classics, this cutie has attached ties at either side of the neckline that can be tied in bows a couple different ways. The sleeves are full length, and gather to fitted cuffs. Shirring at either side of the waist creates drape. The dress closes on the side with sturdy metal zipper.
Bust: 40" *intended to be worn draped
Label: McKettrick Classics
Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good, as is
This dress has been both dry cleaned and hand laundered. There remains a faint edge of discoloration at the edge of the neckline from face makeup - it's quite subtle but the stain is stubborn. The underarms have some staining along soft dye transfer from the black into the blue. The lower middle front of the skirt has five small spots, and some lightness in that area from a previous attempt to treat them. They get lost in the busy print. I find no other issues to note!
