You can't beat a good vintage outdoors jacket, and this smart 1940s coat/ski jacket is ideal for inclemement weather. A sturdy cotton or blend that was probably marketed as "rain resistant" (not rain proof) it is very sturdy, and lining with lightweight but warm flannel. the shoulders are darted for a bit of fullness. The patch pockets have flaps, and deep with plenty of room. The center back of the piece is elasticized which gives it a great gathered look. The original belt is still present and can be cinched to fit your waist to perfection.
Waist: 35-39" (can be cinched as small as you please with the belt.)
Label: Only the original owner's name, "June Leland Waterman"
Material: Feel like a sturdy "weather resistant" cotton, cotton flannel lining
Condition: Good Plus, as is
Jacket is clean and ready to enjoy. A previous owner added extra darts to the shoulders, I think to reduce fullness? This would have originally had a secondary zip-in lining to wear on the slopes, but that is no longer present. There is some mild pressing sheen on the lower lefthand side. I find no other issues to note!!
