Sophisticated 1940s Deep Green Dress with Asymmetric Draping and Pass-Through Collar

  • Product Description

An alluring cocktail dress made with sexy, severe lines, this dress takes no prisoners. The bodice features off set draping to the right, created with radiating darts. The dolman sleeves narrow to the cuff. I suspect this originally had shoulder pads, and would recommend adding them, although as shown, it still wears very well indeed. The standout feature is the loops at the neckline. Likely the dress originally was sold with a matching scarf, but as that is missing, we've shown it with both a contrasting scarf and a necklace (not included) as styling inspiration. The original belt is still present. The dress closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

*The color is not accurate in the modeled shots, as it came out too blue, but is mostly accurate, if washed out and grainy, in the dress form images.

      Bust: 41"
      Waist: 29.5"
      Hips: 41"
      Length: 48"

      Label: None Present
      Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good, very wearable as is

This beauty is clean and ready to wear. The most notable flaw is red underarm fade at each underarm. As noted in the photos, this doesn't stand out when worn, but it's notable if you raise your arm. As seen in the dress form images, there is some VERY subtle color inconsistency - I didn't realize it until I saw the somewhat over exposed photos. It has been priced with condition in mind.
