Vintage post war 1940s day dress in a smart two tone styling, jet black and saturated chartreuse. This color blocked cutie babe offers the best details. The collar is uniquely styled with a sharp, upturned collar in the chartreuse hue - it can be folded two different ways, so there is more of less of the chartreuse showing. The dress buttons down the front with three diagonal button holes, and it also has a zipper on the left. The skirt has pleats at each side, and pockets deep enough to actually use. A deep inverted pleat is filled with the chartreuse, so more of it shows when you move.
*Curiously, I have previously had a wool version of this dress in brown and chartreuse with a wholly different label, but with all other details identical, even those diagonal button holes. Vintage mysteries!
Label: Mademoiselle Juliette
Condition: Very Good minus,
This dress is has been cleaned and is ready to wear. The large center stones for all three buttons are missing, but since the buttons have chartreuse beads, I didn't want to replace them. There is a small area on the shoulder seam that has some old hand stitches. Held to the light, I found one single, tiny pinhole by the right side seam, about pocket height. I find no other issues to note!
