Smart 1950s Three Piece Plaid Suit with Matching Purse
-
Product Description
If you follow Fab Gabs at all, you know how much I love a beautiful, tailored suit. This early 50s suit (from right around exactly 1950) is not just beautifully tailored, but also made of a gorgeous textile, an Al Jean tartan wool, with beautiful rich colors. No doubt, the best part of this already incredible suit, is the matching wool plaid purse (Styled by Du-Val). The jacket features a notched collar and hip pockets, and is impeccably tailored. It is lined in rayon acetate. The skirt is sharply pleated, very unusual for a skirt suit from the time and well suited to the plaid pattern. It closes with a metal zipper on the side and button, and is unlined.
