Vintage 1950s jacket by the queen of New Look sophistication, Lilli Ann. This smart jacket was a recent restoration project for me, and although I'm fairly happy with my improvements to it, it will never to be same. This is a deep navy blue, with a pattern wovenin or pink and white striping. This edges the collar and becomes decorative tabs, and makes up the folded, pocket-like details at the hips. The sides of the jacket are pleated, a detail popular for the label. This closes up the front with covered domed buttons.
Label: Lilli Ann of San Francisco
Material: Wool, Rayon lining
Condition: Fair plus to Good minusish, wearable as is but flawed
This jacket was machine washed in the past. I have steamed and pressed it back into the shape and it looks fairly crisp now. The lining has been resewn along the hem at the back. one of the buttons is a replacement that doesn't match. There's some moth nibbles at the back edge of the collar, and some around the edges of the hip accents. The back of the right sleeve is notably faded, and there's less notable but still present fade on the right back. The lining has a couple faded areas as well.
This is a good piece for people who want as-is vintage they worry less about, and has been priced with all flaws in mind.
