Vintage 1940s post war day dress in an absolutely marvelous, high quality gabardine. The shade is a subtle, warm mustard color. Those who have been following me for a while (or know me at all) know how much I adore a gabardine dress. It falls somewhere in the realm between a casual cotton dress and a smart suit - a versatile basic, but with bold details. Yes, please. This dress is no exception, with a large collar double breasted closure to the waist. There are working hip pockets on the skirt, which is styled with four flared gores. This closes on the left with a sturdy metal zipper.
Label: None Present, small remnant is present
Material: Wool and Rayon Gabardine
Condition: Good plus
This dress is clean and ready to wear. There is the faintest shadow of underarm rings, but they almost completely disappeared at dry cleaning, and the dress is lovely and fresh. I have interfaced two thin spots at the back left hip. I find no other issues to note, it is crisp and lovely.
