Vintage 1940s tailored dress is rich and autumnal in the deepest forest green. The silhouette on this piece is quintessentially post war 40s, start with light padding at the shoulders, a flattering bodice with excessive use of fabric, and a draped skirt. Deep pleats make up tehe trunk and both both sleeves. A decorative button placket runs from the point of the neckline to the top of the hips. The skirt is pleated for a swishy, flattering shape. The dress closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper and has self-fabric ties at the waist.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. It is sturdy and saturated and lovely. I found two areas on the seams of the skirt repaired by hand - this would only be noticed from the interior. The repairs could be tidier, but they seem strong and don't affect the exterior in any way. I find no other issues to note! This green dress has none of the fading so often seen with this color.
