Vintage 1940s coat is a perfect weight for an autumn that's cool but not cold, and will be useful again in the spring! This is from my own collection, and I've worn it open so often that I tended to think of it as a swing coat, but it's really a straight cut. The pockets are the most useful ever - they are even DARTED to fit more! And they are DEEP. The checker pattern is a fantastic chocolate brown shade, against a warm white. The coat is lined in acetate satin, and closes up the front with replacement buttons.
Label: None Present
Material: Wool, Rayon Lining
Condition: Good, as is
This coat is clean and ready to wear. There is a small moth chew on the front left shoulder by the collar. There's some random stains, most notably the underside of the right sleeve, and then a lighter but larger one upper mid back. a lighter one on the back of the left sleeve, and one underneath the button placket, not visible when closed. I had this bulk cleaned, but it would be worth taking for specialized treatment. Priced at half of what it would be otherwise! There's also a small mend on the lining by the back vent (shown.)
