Vintager 1940s holomuu is fabulous but as-is - definitely read the condition notes. This piece features a classic 40s Hawaiian holomuu silhouette, with princess darts through the waist for a sleek fit, and the ruffles at collar. There ae none at the hem, as this was shortened in the past to a day dress length. The print is delightful, with papaya leaves and fruit in teal, green, brown and rust on lemon yellow. This piece closes with a rear metal zipper.
Shoulder to narrowest waist measurement is short - 14.5"
Label: Waikiki Modes
Material: Cold Rayon
Condition: Fair, wearable but notably damaged with repairs
This dress is clean, and can be worn as is but has numerous flaws. It has been priced at about 40% of what I would otherwise price it for, and I will try to be specific but be aware that there's enough imperfections that I may miss something small, and no adjustments will be made because the overall condition has been covered. As noted, the hem has been shortened. There are scattered spots throughout the midsection, please see the two close ups for an example. There are a few more into the skirt. There's a series of three frays by the upper right bust that have been hand mended. There are about six smaller little holes lower in the skirt, most with old stitches to reinforce, and two that are best left alone. The center princess seams have some strain.
