A striking 1940s dress in fine, crisp rayon faille - this faille is so fine, I almost thought it was a crepe. The color is deadly beautiful, a richly saturated cinnamon red. The bodice is flattering in bias cut panels with a v neckline and draped sleeves. The skirt is surprisingly sleek. And along the waistband is an attached sash of wide, brick red taffeta that be tied a variety of ways. The dress closes up the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

This dress is clean and ready to be worn. The shoulder pads are replacements made of wool felt by the previous owner. The kick pleat has a small split with hand stitches repairing it, as does the center of the neckline. There's two light water spots on the skirt that did not dry clean out. The sash has a little hole in one of the lengths. I find no other issues to note!
