Rich 1940s Autumnal Floral Button Front Blouse with Scalloped Piping Trim
This vintage 1940s blouse works perfectly as a lightweight separate for spring or over a dress or with slacks for a autumn ensemble. Made of rayon crepe, the background is a mint green that is twice as pretty in person. Deep green leaves and rust colored carnations float against the cool background. The collar is notched and then rounded for a soft effect, the gorge is low. Self-fabric buttons close it down the front. The peplum is edged with self-fabric piping, attached in a lovely, swirling scallop. This piece is unlined.
While this could probably fit a medium, it's really meant to have a casual fit on a small, so we didn't pin it snugly, although you can belt it for more shape.
Label: None Present
Material: Rayon Jersey
Condition: Good, as is
This jacket is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. There is some fade to the top of each sleeve, and staining along with some strain to the underarms. There is a water stain on the back left shoulder. Someone let darts out at the back, and you can see the green was a bit more blue toned originally. There is a broken loop in the scallops at each side seam. This wears better than it sounds, but has been priced as-is.
