One of the very few truly early Lilli Diamond dresses I have ever seen, this c. 1951 power dress looks more like a Dorothy O'Hara than what we expect from a Lilli Diamond label! With a defined collar feature that I figured out after the fact is intended to be worn popped for extra dimension and MASSIVE shoulder pads, the dress has an unforgiving strength. It took me years to realize that pink is every much a bad girl color as good, and this dress brings it, with dolman sleeves, a basque waist and curve defining hip pockets. It closes up the back with a sturdy metal zipper.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. It has been both dry cleaned and hand laundered. While it wears really well, it does have notable underarm staining - when laid flat, it feels like the front of the dress, but that's the nature of dolman sleeves, so much get creased under the arms. So this doesn't stand out when worn, but it's significant on the hanger. See photos. The right side of the skirt has the shadow of a previous stain - it's so subtle that it would never be noticed when worn but it is present and I couldn't improve it any further. This I wasn't able to capture on film, it just looks like shadows. The dress is very sturdy, and will be perfect for dim cocktail bars. Priced for what I paid, with flaws in mind.
