RARE Swimtime Togs Three Piece 1940s Playsuit with One Piece Romper, Skirt and Bolero in Rainbow Stripes

  • Product Description

This vintage playsuit is a marvelous rarity, with multiple looks easily created by mixing the three pieces - the one piece playsuit romper, button up skirt and open bolero. It’s c. 1940s right on the nos. Stripes of purple, orange, kelly green, white, brown and yellow are brilliantly used in each piece. The playsuit has a midwaist. The straps can be crossed, worn straight or tied as a halter. It closes up the back with buttons. The skirt is gently flared, and buttons up the front. The bolero has no closures. I will let the photos sell this one - it’s too good for words.

There's 20 photos of this set - I realize the previews show only five just keep flipping through!

The set is clean and ready to wear. The notable issue with this is that the front of each piece is faded, where the backs are still pretty vibrant. The purple and brown fade a bit unevenly. The playsuit is a bit lighter than the other two, but not at all so much they can’t be worn together. It’s still the best and rarest playsuit ensemble I have has. There is one small spot on the back of the skirt, and the hem was taken up and then let down again. I find no other issues to note!
