Rare 1950s Asymmetric Peach Ballgown or Wedding Dress with Lace Overlay

  • Product Description

This fantasy 1950s frock is such a delight - amazing as an off-beat wedding gown or for a grand event, it's pastel and sweet without being anything close to  cupcake. This is a crisp, heavy peach satin, covered throughout matching peach chantilly lace. The lace meets the satin with a line that follows the motif in the lace. What makes this piece is so unique is that the skirt is asymmetric, shorter on the right and full length on the left. It is shown over a generic wedding crinoline, but this would be amazing over a custom cut short-long petticoat, especially in a complementary color, or multiple colors. The dress closes up the back with a metal zipper.

The white crinoline shown is not included.

      Bust: 35"
      Waist: 24"
      Hips: 66"
Length: 56" on right, 31" on left

Waist to hem is 39" at right, and 16.5" on the left

      Label: None Present
      Material: Acetate satin, lace
Condition: Good, as is, will need professional cleaning

This beauty has not been cleaned, as wedding dress cleaning only adds to your final cost. There is speckling/foxing along the hem on the longer parts of the hem, and scattered scuffs to the satin on the hem. These don't stand out, but should be treated when you have it cleaned. There are two tiny pin tip spots near the neckline, and one clean 3/4" break in the lace at the lower back of the skirt. This wears beautifully and has been gently priced.
