Rare 1940s Andrew Geller Shoes in Ivory Suede with Handpainted Peacocks

  • Product Description

Truly unique fantastic 1940s shoes are an offering by one of the best names of the era, Andrew Geller. The shape is quintessential, but the detailing makes them a scarce find. These perfect peeptoe pumps offer a large bow accent, hand painted on each side with a peacock in roses. These small details pop even from as far away as the floor!  The heels are pert and, frankly ideal. They are lined in leather and faille with leather soles and heel tips with metal to protect the taps from wear.

Condition: Very Good minus, very wearable

These shoes are sturdy, although somewhat stuff - entirely beautiful and wearable. They have an old price on the underside of the toes I didn't want to sand off - it will come off with wear (and is it not what I paid.) There is very light soil to the ivory. The back of the right heel has a ding with small loss to the suede. The painting is very lightly crazed. I find no other issues to note.
