Vintage late 1930s day dress is the absolutely sweetest - the very definition of the 1938 silhouette, with perfectly puffed sleeves (with sleeve headers for shape!), a gathered bust and fitted midwaist. Made of a slippery, sleek cold rayon it's an absolute delight to wear. The brown is a soft milk chocolate hue, the dots are ivory. The skirt is an absolutely perfect eight gore style, flares that drape gently against the body but would be phenomenal for dancing. The bodice has decorative buttons up the front. This darling dress closes along the side with a metal zipper.
Shoulders: 14.75" (fits a bit more generously due to padded puffed sleeves)
Bust: 42" **intended to blouse, probably best up to 38/39"
Label: None Present
Condition: Very Good minus
This dress is clean and ready to wear. I've given it a careful wash and she is fresh and lovely. There is mild wear to the underarms - the kind of strain you can see on cold rayon at times from being worn and moved in, where the pattern goes out of registry. There is a single pinhole on the skirt, about half-way down right along the left side seam. The back right hip has three small, subtle water spots. I find no other issues to note!
