Phenomenal Early 1940s Dress with Sweetheart Bodice and Nude Illusion Skirt and Accents
This darling dress, a style that is pretty much 1940 right on the nose, is really a special piece, featuring a treatment I haven't seen before. The piece is essentially color-blocked, with black rayon crepe and nude illusion. The skirt is three layers - black lining, nude net and black net over that. The nude illusion on the bodice is more classic, with no lining under the nude layer. The bodice is ruched at the center front. The sleeves are short, and structured with sleeve headers. The dress closes with a sturdy metal zipper on the left side.

Material: Rayon Crepe, Mesh Net
Condition: Very Good minus
This dress has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear! There are two small holes in the top layer of black net at the front right yoke, probably from being worn with a brooch. There are scattered snags or shifted threads and a couple little holes in the black net of the skirt, but they don't really stand out with the moire effect the layered mesh has. I find nothing else to note!
