Luxurious 1940s Textron Cold Rayon Wrap Style Dressing Gown

  • Product Description

Vintage 1940s dressing gown of slippery, lux cold rayon. This beauty has a repeating print that seemed abstract at first, but on closer inspection I realized they were flowers - alternately right side up and upside down. These are a tealy green on bright white. The bodice is simple, a late 40s cut, and the skirt is flowing, generously bias cut. It closes with internal ties at the waist and single hook and eye.

The first set of numbers is based on where the hook is currently set to close, and the second set in parentheses is the range I think it should work for if the eye were moved

      Bust: 44” (40”-48”)
      Waist: 34” (30”-39”)
      Hips: 54” (50”-56”)
      Length: 57”

      Label: Textron
      Material: Cold Rayon
      Condition: Very Good minus

This robe is clean and ready to wear. There is one stain, at the lower front side of the skirt, just a faint yellow spill spot, probably coffee, long since treated and mostly removed. You'd need to be looking to find it, as the skirt is generous. I find no other issues to note! A beautiful, wearable, sturdy decadence.
