This gorgeous 1950s skirt is brilliant piece, constructed of 32 gores so those lovely stripes stay on a straight line throughout the skirt. I love the patience home sewer who took the time to do it this way! The background is a matte navy, with narrow bands of black. Between those bands are lustrous, satin ribbon stripes of yellow, purple, aqua, baby pink, royal blue and red. This has room for a crinoline, if you so desire, but as shown, it has body on it's own, too. It closes on the side with a metal zipper and button.

This skirt is clean and ready to wear. Held to the light, I found eight little moth chews scattered throughout, only one that I found when examining it flat - they don't detract. There are a couple little pulls to black stripes, nothing significant. This sturdy skirt wears beautifully, and I find nothing else to note!
