Terribly adorable vintage late 1940s cotton day dress. Perfect in almost any season, this crisp cotton piece is definitely my favorite in this little casual collection! This dress sits on the borderline with the 50s, and does so in the best way. Padded shoulders frame your shape perfectly, but the sleeves are abbreviated. A smart collar rests above a shirtwaist bodice, while the skirt offers a central pleat and the best pockets. Each pocket is made of two pieces that come together in square-knotted tie. The colors? Wonderful. Lilac, Teal, Eggplant, Grey. The kind of dress that brightens any day. It closes with a side metal zipper and the shirtwaist buttons.

This dress has been hand washed and is ready to wear. There's a hand repair on the right side seam near the waist. There's two faint spots on the bodice, and I found ten in the skirt, but the two worst are hidden in the pleating, and the rest tend to be minimized by the texture in print when worn - still they are present, and the dress has been priced accordingly.
