This vintage 1950s dress is fresh, crisp and bold. The cotton is a rich black, with true mid-century modern print executed in orange, butter yellow and blue. The bodice is fitted with eight darts, the line slightly dropped from the natural waist. The neckline is a dramatic, pointed shape, that works with the short, off-shoulder sleeves for a flattering jagged line. The skirt is full with wide pleats. The dress closes up the back with a sturdy metal zipper.
✂-----Measurements
Bust: 36"
Waist: 27"
Hips: 70"+ (free)
Length: 47.5"
Label: None Present
Material: Cotton
Condition: Good, as with repairs
This dress is clean and ready to wear. I find no flaws to note! The dress wears beautifully. However, the right shoulder has some flaws that are repaired with fusible patches - splits to the cotton on the top edge of the sleeves and outer cuff edge that I assume are caused by years on a hanger. These are stabilized, but I have adjusted the price of the dress significantly with flaws in mind. I find no other issues to note!
