Vintage 1940s day dress in a silky rayon jersey is marvelous mix of bold color and soft neutral. A flattering war era length and cut, this fantastic frock features bold, saturated floral print of dayglow pink, bright chartruese, lime green and a deep red wirth more subtle mauve in the bows. The color pops along a background of warm ivory. The shoulders are padded, the sleeves draped. The skirt is slightly asymmetric at front from the draping to the right hip - the left shoulder is similarly embellished. This gorgeous frock closes on the side with sturdy hooks.

This dress is sturdy and ready to wear. Due to social distancing, it has not been dry cleaned. The ground has yellowed with age, and there are a few small spots here and there. The stitching finishing the sleeves has made tiny holes over time. Similarly, the hem has been taken up and let out what looks like twice, and this similarly made tiny stitch holes above the length of the hem. There are four other tiny pinholes in the bodice, two in the front of the skirt, two at the back of the bodice, and a smudge on the skirt that I think will come out with a dry cleaning. The flaws sound worse than they present - this dress is striking to wear. I find no other issues to note!
