Gorgeous 1920s Pongee Silk Robe with Waves and Deco Sunbursts
-
Product Description
Vintage 1920s pongee robe, one of the most popular and enduring styles of Japanese making adapted for the west. The silk is absolutely lavish, that with a slightly slubbed, lustrous weave. Floral print sweeps around the shoulders and edges of sleeves, culminating in a border print of waves and art deco sunbursts. I love the colors on this piece, full of bold saturation. The kimono style wrap ties at the center front.
✂-----Measurements
Despite the measurements, this best fits a range from small to large. It fit the curvy size small model as shown. Recommended for not more than 44" bust
Bust: 50"
Waist: 46"
Hips: 46"
Length: 46"
Label: None Present
Material: Silk
Condition: Good plus
This robe is clean dry cleaned and ready to wear. There is 1" mend above the left sleeve seam. Upon close inspection, I found two faint water marks on each front panel, but these aren't noted when worn. There is a pinhole above the hem at the left front, another tiny hole at the back right shoulder, and a small "dash" spot just under it. Overall, it is clean and looks fantastic on. I find no other issues to note. -
