Gorgeous Late 1930s Rust Colored Rayon Dress with Beaded Soutache
Vintage late 1930s day dress is rich and saturated, a beauty that draws you in with it's warm autumn hue. This charming number is classically c. 1937, with sleek long sleeves, a high neckline and slim but slightly flared skirt. It has fantastic details. The sleeves are gathered along the shoulder, then fitted to the cuff. Elegant beaded soutache climbs through the midsection front and back, and up the forearms. This dress closes up the back and on the cuffs with self-fabric buttons.
Regarding color - this is too dark in my mannequin shots and too bright in the modeled shots. The accurate color is almost perfectly the inbetween point, a dark, rich rust hue.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. The flaws are all little, and they don't detract from the overall look, but it ends up sounding worse than it is when all typed out. There's some mild fade at the top of the shoulder and sleeves. There's a small dark spot just below the center of the collar where I treated a lipstick mark. The area below the collar and left shoulder have some little pinholes from being worn with a brooch. There's also a single tiny moth chew on the back left shoulder. The soutache has a couple points where it has fuzzed a bit, probably from snagging. The skirt has two light water spots. Finally, the buttons on the back have wear from being opened and closed, and a few have worn through. This dress wears beautifully and looks much better than this paragraph makes it seem. I find no other issues to note.
