Vintage late 1930s dress in a splendid and soft periwinkle hue. The shots on the dress form are more true color than the modeled images, but it's a bit brighter than that. I don't know how this beauty made its way here, but it the label shows it was originally sold in the main shopping district of Denmark, Norrebrograde. The silhouette is a sleek pre-war shape. The waistline is defined. This impeccably sharp piece focuses on your shape, offering a the silhouette of 1937 to perfection. I love the corded trapunto accents on the bodice and skirt. .Buttons close the dress up the front, and at the cuffs as well. The gorgeous solid color and elegant silhouette will allow a lot of creativity with and inspiration for accessories!

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There's five FAINT foxing spots on the lower back of the skirt a bit above the hem - you'll have to look closely to find them. I suspect the belt was remade by the previous collector sometime between the 60s and 80s, as it's a bit stiffly shaped, and has a lucite buckle. I find no other flaws to note!
