This isn't just any dirndl, but a vintage 1960s Lanz trachten dress, with the Salzburg label. One of the most darkly dramatic vintage Lanz I have seen, it is a very fine brocade in black, with posies in yellow, pink and rust orange. A diamond pattern woven into the background is lustrous. The bodice, traditionally low cut to pair with a blouse, closes with buttons. The skirt is tightly gathered and full cut. The best Trachten fashion you can own is always a Lanz.
*This is a German size 46, which is approximately a modern 10 or 12
Length: 44" + 6" at hem (has previously been taken up 3")
There is 2.5" of selvage at each side of the side seam for 5" total selvage at the bust, so this could be let out at the bust if desired.
Label: Original Lanz Saltzburg-Wein
Material: Rayon acetate blend brocade
Condition: Very Good minus
This dirndl is clean, fresh and ready to wear. There is staining at the interior back lining of the bodice that looks like a spill, so something that happens in storage. I find no other issues to note!
