Gorgeous 1950s Sleeveless New Look Dress with Nipped Waist and Soutache

  • Product Description

Vintage 1950s dress is the kind of timeless fashion I find absolutely irresistable. It's a deadstock piece, with a hangtag declaring it "Acetate, the Beauty Fiber." In this case, it's not untrue - its a heavy, lustrous faille. This is a heavy, autumn weight frock with a high neckline, nipped waist and full skirt with pleating that makes it fall in perfect folds. The pockets at each hip are decorate with soutache and rhinestones. This beauty closes up the side with a sturdy metal zipper. We love this paired with either a short sleeve top or full sleeved blouse, as shown in the lookbook.

      Bust: 35.5"
      Waist: 24"
      Hips: 62"
      Length: 46.5"

      Label: Deadstock Hang Tags
      Material: Acetate
      Condition: Good, as is

This dress is crisp, fresh and ready to wear. As seen in the photos ** which are lightened to accent it** there is some variable fade to the fabric at the skirt, shoulders and back of the neck. This is not as pronounced in person, as you can see in our lookbook image. Aside from that cosmetic flaw, however, the fabric feels practically new and it's incredibly sturdy and durable.
