A striking vintage 1940s dress in weighty, drapey rayon crepe. The rich wine hue is classic for the era - we love it contrasted with chartreuse or mustard, or complemented with plum and brown. The classic mid-40s details are all present here - lightly padded shoulders, a decorative shirtwaist bodice and skirt that is gored, but still slim. Soutache and rhinestones accent the collar and the peplum hip pockets. The sleeves are three-quarter length and have three darts each for a perfect fit. This dress closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper.
Waist: 30.5" - snug 31"

Condition: Good plus
This dress is clean and ready to wear. It would be very good, but the skirt has a subtle lightened splash mark - 3.75" long, and 3/8" wide - at the front left. This is really minimal, and doesn't stand out. The fabric is really sturdy and the dress feels fresh.
