Gorgeous 1940s Satin Pajamas Loungwear in Fuchsia and Teal Colorblock

  • Product Description

Vintage 1940s loungewear is so smart, I'd march out the front door and call it sportswear or cocktail attire and never look back. This rayon satin set is undoubtedly pajamas, but also probably intended to be a hostess ensemble, something worn when there are guests about. It is two tone, with a top of fushia and pants of incredible saturated teal. The sleeves are massive, oversized puffs. The collar, the cuffs, the button and pocket are all trimmed with the teal shade for two tone contrast. The long matching sash is also teal, but if you decide to wear it out of the house, just swap it out with a proper buckling belt. The top closes with snaps, the buttons are decorative. The decadent matching pants are a high waist style with wide legs and a side snap closure This silhouette is sporty perfection with all the comfort of home.

This set is sturdy and ready to wear. This has been dry cleaned and is ready to be worn. The pants have five small spots along the right front, and one at the left front. The top has been hand washed at sometime in the past, and this shown on the interior in the form of lightish crease marks, but it has little effect on the exterior. There are some subtle water marks to the satin surface, but nothing significant. There is a scuff that has a thin fray at the back left shoulder, by the sleeve seam. The snaps have been moved a couple times and there's minor evidence of it left behind, but it's hidden when worn. The price has been adjusted with minor flaws taken into account.
