Gorgeous 1940s Lily of the Valley Rayon Peplum Dress

  • Product Description

In Victorian flower language, the Lily of the Valley means "a return to happiness" and I genuinely cannot imagine a better flower for this moment. This classic 1940s dress is drapey rayon, with a surplice bodice and fluttering peplum. The sleeves are three quarter length, the skirt has six gores. Darts from the shoulder create draping from the bust. The print is bright in lime green and white, a bold and cheerful design. It closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

      Shoulders: 14.75"
      Bust: 42"
      Waist: 32.5"
      Hips: 43.5"
      Length: 44"

      Label: None Present
      Material: Rayon
      Condition: Good plus

This dress has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear. There is a small darn at the top of the right sleeve, and another at the right side of the back. I interfaced two tiny holes in the skirt with self-fabric. The dress sturdy and wears beautifully.
