Ever want to feel like you're in a Tamara de Lempicka painting? This dress captures that spirit to perfection in silhouette and details. Authentic 1930s vintage dress features unique piecework and a body clinging silhouette. The color is closer to the shade seen on the white background. The neckline is edged in a pleated trim with blue polkadots, and finished with a tie of the same material. The sleeves have five darts, opening to pleats on the bubble shaped pouf. The dress slips over the head, and has no closures.
Label: None Present
Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good, as is - wears beautifully with small flaws
This dress is has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear. The most notable flaw is that someone has gone over the side seams of the skirt multiple times - there's four different tracks of thread, and it's caused some of that sort of gathered drape it's not intended to have - most visible in the angled side view on the mannequin. I'm sure it's that the original thread was rotting, but I don't know why it would be gone over SO many times. There is subtle, varied fade throughout- this was a brighter blue originally, as seen in the pleats of the sleeves and underside of the bubble. There is one hole in the pleated trim at the neckline on the left side. The skirt has two spots on front, one on the right and one left, both leg level, and one fainter smudge on the back. It really does look amazing, on however, and partly thanks to those excessive stitches, it's really sturdy. Priced with flaws in mind!
