Vintage 1940s robe in fabulous rayon jersey, that fabulous war era textile we can't resist. It's a wrap style, closing only at the waist, internally and externally with snaps. The print is fantastic - soft purple roses with bright, vibrant kelly green steps against a more subtle background of cream and mauve and brown. This vibrant paisley floral is bold and richly saturate. Lilac purple, rich fuchsia, lemon yellow, kelly green and black all on a creamy background white. This dress feels as good as it looks, draping along the body. The sleeves are full length. the collar is rounded. The perfect things for days where you never leave the house, but want to look and feel pretty and vintage.

This piece has not been cleaned - I bought it for myself and decided on something of whim not to keep it. There are a couple spots by the collar/neckline, nothing that doesn't get hidden in the print. I do think the whites have tanned a bit with age or previous washings. There's a couple little spots in the skirt, including a lipstick mark that is the same color as the roses - I almost missed it. The back of the skirt has some foxing. It's sturdy and strong, I find nothing else to note.
