Glamorously Glossy Fuchsia Bias Cut Silk Satin 30s Gown with Attached Capelet
This vintage late 1930s gown is a treat to behold in fabulously glossy fuchsia rayon satin. The elegant cut and lustrous satin make this gown perfect for a bold and unforgettable entrance. The attached capelet is pintucked, adding drama and luxury. The bust is gathered above a high, curving line.. The tiers of skirt are all bias cut so it clings to your curves while draping lushly. This stunning piece slips over the head, and closes with side snaps. It's bold, gleaming and perfect for a decadent evening event.
Label: None Present
Material: Rayon Blend Satin
Condition: Good, wearable as is
This gown has been bulk drycleaned and is ready to wear, but could use a professional hand wash. The most important flaw to note is the tanned water line along the bottom tier of the dress. This does mostly hide in the draping of the skirt when worn. I feel fairly confident it will come out but dislike washing satin myself. There is staining to the underarms, conveniently hidden by the capelet, as are two little repaired holes. There is a small spot on thr cape at the right. There are two abrasions at the hem with minor breaking of the fibers, probably from being stepped . This gown presents beautifully and is priced with flaws in mind.
