1940s vintage dress is nothing short of fantastic, an autumnal treasure. It is uniquely printed with a sort of plaid made up of squares and rectangles in brown and white zig zags. The rayon is slippery and lush. The shoulders gathered with trapunto piping. A side drape waterfalls down the side of the left hip, headed with a heavy shirred base. The sleeves are draped, the skirt is sleek. A fabulous dress for the fall season. Closes on the side with a metal zipper.

This dress is fresh and ready to wear. The upper back has some very mild yellowing - it almost entirely washed away, and won't be noted when worn, but knowing where it was before cleaning, I can still see it - a bit at the neckline as well. The bodice as a couple run threads both front and back (photographed) and the fabric is a little strained at the undersarms, and so the print is slightly blurred (photographed.) These things said, this dress wears beautifully and looks fantastic on, and is super sturdy. I find nothing else to note!
