This post-war 1940s skirt is just everything I want in a separate. It's a classic color, the drape is excellent. The waistband is absurdly wide. And it's styled to flatter - while it's fully pleated, those pleats are stitched down to below the hips, so it doesn't add bulk. It closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper. A perfect navy separate!
Label: None Present, Homemade
Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good minus, as is
This skirt is clean and ready to wear. The original maker literally never added hooks to the waistband - I had to do that - it came to me with an old safety pin. (Oh dear) but luckily has no lasting damage. I found one snag to the crepe at the back.
