This early 40s day dress is made in one of my very favorite color combinations - black with chartreuse and pink. In this case, it is a sort of coraly, watermelon pink and yellowy chartruese hut. The dress is gabardine, sturdy and beautifully structured with strong, padded shoulders. The bodice is gathered under the bust, creating excellent drape. The sleeves end just past the elbow. Below the bold, contrasting midwaist the skirt is gathered for a swishy and flattering drape. This babe of a frock closes with a sturdy side metal zipper, and two golden buttons on the bodice.
Bust: 39" (please allow a bit of room for blousing)
Label: None Present - it was commercially made, the stitches for a tag are present
Material: Rayon Blend Gabardine
Condition: Very Good minus
This dress is in very good condition. The dress has the sense of having been worn and cleaned in the past, but aside from that fact there's no actual flaws that I can find. It's in sturdy, fantastic condition.
