Vintage 1930s coat is a bold look for winter. This lovely coat dates to the earliest 30s. The silhouette is sleekly tailored with a trim fit, but does not have the notably defined waist seen later in the era. The woven wool is rich black with a sort of honeycomb pattern. The collar is trimmed in utterly fabulous skunk fur. The coat closes with one button at the neck and two at the bust. The sleeves feature a subtle lantern cut in style. It is fully lined with black silk.
Label: None Present
Material: Wool, Skunk Fur, Silk
Condition: Good, as is
This coat is clean and ready to wear. The silk is shattered at the inside edge of each cuff. The hem had been taken up in the past, and I realized it while taking photos and have let it out. There is a hole in the lining at the lower right. The neck clasp hook has fallen off in the past and been reglued, and it clearly once had rhinestones or another embellishment which has fallen away. I find no other issues to note.
