An absolutely smashing 1960s dress suit in a rich wool tweed. This might be my top favorite item in this entirely collection, honestly, based (almost) entirely on the textile! The wool tweed has softly varied stripes - alternating between salt and pepper, and a bulky yard of red, black and bright violet. The dress has an absolutely perfect mod a-line silhouette - this was MADE to wear with good boots. The center pleat of the skirt is accented with buttons. The jacket is a boxy style, with hidden snap closures. The jacket is lined with rich fuchsia satin, the dress with a plum acetate. The dress closes with a sturdy metal zipper.

This set is clean and ready to wear. One of the original buttons on the skirt has some rust, the others are tarnished. There are a few rust stains on the lining of the dress from being stored on a wire hanger, but none of these show on the exterior. I find no other issues to note, this set wears beautifully.
