If this vintage 1940s coat fit, I would jealously hoard it or myself. This beautiful jewel toned princess coat is a rich emerald green wonderfully saturated and rich. A late 40s cut, it is a true princess coat, fitted to the waist and flared to the hem. The single breasted closure is secured with self-fabric covered buttons with stamps triangles at their centers. The collar is wide and sharp, outlined with pale mink or stoat fur. Working hip pockets are also trimmed with fur, further accenting the dramatic shape. And its so finely made - you can see it in the sculpted shoulder pads and crisp double darts at the elbows. It's warmly lined for winter - gleaming green to gold satin over a wool interfacing. Both the skirt and lining are gored to create the perfectly full shape. This is a rarity not to be missed.

Condition: Very Good minus
This coat has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear. There is some light surface mothing low at the right side by the hem. There is a little heat fade to the lining, but nothing significant. This crisp, clean beauty wears perfectly.
