Gorgeous 1950s Lilli Ann suit (it's Lilli Ann, of course it is beautiful!) in a gorgeous and heavy wool suiting with flecks of white woven throuhgout. This salt and pepper textile is one of the most desirable and striking fabrics from the label, and the structure of the suit is iconic. The wool is rich - not soft, but not as coarse and deeply textured as their tweeds. The elegant jacket features a colorblock features a dramatically nipped waist with perfectly flared peplum. The collar is massive, and can be worn popped up to frame the face - perfect for fatales. It is lined with lustrous jet black rayon crepe. The skirt is sleek, partially lined with the same rayon crepe, and has a long center vent. It closes with a metal zipper.
Waist: 27.5" to snug 28"
Label: an original Lilli Ann of San Francisco
This smart suit is clean and ready to wear. I have been over it three times - I find not a single issue to note. It has been beautifully stored and has no moth holes, no underarm stains, no strains - I find nothing wrong with it. A rare piece that gets a rating of "Excellent" condition from me.
