Vintage Edwardian blouse is truly special, a striking example in grey-green and white printed. Every element of the piece is stunning - the internal construction every bit as much as the detailed sleeves. The inset is pale lavender silk with tatted lace overlaid. The contrast with the deep, rich green velvet of the collar is striking. The waist is pointed just so front and back, with the velvet cuffs complementing that shape. Pintucks run shoulder to upper arm, where the fabric is gathered in a puff, then a ruffle over the elbow. The piece is finished with velvet circling the waist. Fourteen stays reinforce the shape. The piece closes with hook and eyes up the center front. The high quality of this piece is evident in every detail.

This blouse is clean and ready to wear. There is a little staining to the lavender silk lining at the neckline. The velvet along the ribcage has rubbed edges. Only half of the internal waistband is present, though luckily it was the half with the label. There are two subtle water spots on the left front side of the bodice, and one small break in the lace at the back. I find no other issues to note.
